Terms & Conditions

Impala Electrical (Pty) Ltd – Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 23/02/2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of electrical services by Impala Electrical (Pty) Ltd (ABN: 41 693 349 021, Electrical Contractor Licence: 1509038) (“we”, “our”, “us”) to you, the client (“you”, “your”). By accepting a quote, booking services, or allowing work to commence, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope of Services

1.1 We provide electrical installation, maintenance, repair, testing, inspection, and related services (“Services”) for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties.
1.2 Work to be performed will be as outlined in an accepted quotation or service agreement. Any additional work requested outside the original scope may incur further charges and must be agreed in writing.

2. Quotes, Acceptance and Contract

2.1 A quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2 A contract is formed when you accept a quote in writing, verbally on site, or by instructing us to commence work.
2.3 We may withdraw or revise a quote at any time before acceptance.

3. Pricing, Payment & GST

3.1 Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).
3.2 Unless stated otherwise, quotes do not include GST. GST will be added where applicable.
3.3 Payment terms are as outlined in the quote. Unless otherwise stated, final payment is due within 7 days of invoice.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest or additional administrative fees.
3.5 We may require deposits or progress payments for larger jobs.

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 You must provide safe, unobstructed, and legal access to the property where work is to be carried out.
4.2 You must disclose any known hazards, underground services, or special conditions at the site before work begins.
4.3 You are responsible for securing any necessary permits, approvals, or consents unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

5. Safety, Compliance & Licencing

5.1 All work will be carried out by licensed electricians (Licence: 1509038) in accordance with applicable Australian Standards (including AS/NZS 3000), state electrical safety legislation, and industry regulations.
5.2 You must not engage or instruct us to delegate electrical work to unlicensed individuals; all electrical work will be completed by appropriately qualified personnel.

6. Warranties & Liability

6.1 We warrant that Services will be performed with reasonable care and skill.
6.2 Workmanship warranties may vary by service type and will be outlined in the quote or invoice where applicable.
6.3 Materials supplied are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. We are not responsible for faults caused by misuse after completion.
6.4 Except where prohibited by law, we limit liability for loss or damage arising from our Services to the value of the Services provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

7. Variations

7.1 Variations to scope, materials, or timing must be agreed in writing.
7.2 Variations may affect cost and timelines.

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

8.1 Scheduled work may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
8.2 Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee or call-out fee as set out in your quote or invoice.

9. Access & Delays

9.1 You must ensure safe access and reasonable working conditions for our team.
9.2 We are not liable for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access, site hazards, or delays in third-party approvals.

10. Test & Tag, Safety Switches, Certificates of Compliance

10.1 Certificates of compliance, safety switch testing, test & tag results, or similar documents will be provided where legally required at the completion of relevant services.
10.2 Certificates are issued based on the work completed and current conditions at the time of service.

11. Emergency Call-Outs

Emergency services are available when a technician is on duty. Availability may vary depending on technician schedules and prior bookings. We aim to respond promptly and provide safe, professional solutions for urgent electrical issues.

12. Privacy

We collect personal information for service delivery, billing, and communications. We do not share personal information with third parties except as required by law or with consent.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under those laws.

14. Amendments

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms apply from the date of posting, and continued engagement with our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
