Supporting Local Pensioners, Retirees & Elderly Residents Across Ayr & Surrounding Areas

At Impala Electrical, we believe community should look after community.

Community Fridays is a local initiative created to help genuine pensioners, retirees, elderly residents, veterans, and locals doing it tough by providing FREE labour for minor electrical repairs and safety-related maintenance.

This initiative is designed to help make homes safer, reduce stress, and support members of our community who may need a helping hand.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Approved applicants may receive FREE labour for essential electrical maintenance including:

  • Faulty lights

  • Unsafe power points

  • Smoke alarms

  • Ceiling fans

  • Minor safety concerns

  • General electrical maintenance

 

Please note:
This initiative covers labour only.

Any required materials, parts, or equipment will be quoted at cost price with absolutely no mark-up and must be paid for prior to works commencing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This initiative is for:

  • Pensioners

  • Retirees

  • Elderly residents

  • Veterans

  • Locals experiencing genuine hardship


This program is not intended for general free electrical work, investment properties, large renovations, commercial works, or major projects.

The following are NOT included:

❌ Full house rewires
❌ Switchboard replacements
❌ Air-conditioning installations
❌ Commercial electrical works
❌ Large-scale projects

APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS
Due to demand and limited availability, submitting an application does NOT guarantee approval or selection.

Applications are reviewed based on:
✔ Safety concerns
✔ Urgency
✔ Individual circumstances
✔ Availability
✔ Suitability for the program

Priority may be given to:

  • Elderly residents living alone

  • Veterans

  • Pensioners experiencing hardship

  • Homes with urgent electrical safety concerns

 
Impala Electrical reserves the right to decline applications where:

  • Information provided is false or misleading

  • The program is being taken advantage of

  • The requested works fall outside the scope of the initiative

  • Behaviour towards staff is inappropriate or abusive

 
Proof of pensioner, retirement, or veteran status may be requested before any works are approved.

Any attempt to intentionally deceive or misuse this initiative may result in immediate cancellation of the application or works.

  • Impala Electrical reserves the right to request proof of pensioner, retirement, or veteran status before approving any application.
